Transport: depending on the number of people in the group it can be a private car, a minivan, a minibus or a big bus. AWD vehicle is not necessary.
Accommodation: a 4-star hotel in Bishkek, a good guesthouse in Chong-Kemin and a yurt-camp in Bokonbaevo.
Special notes: there is just one hiking in Skazka canyon on this tour so walking shoes and walking sticks (if applicable) are recommended.

Tour program by day
Day 1: Bishkek-Don-Aryk-Chong-Kemin (140 km, 700-1500 m above the sea level)
Sightseeing walk in Bishkek: the colorful Osh market, Ala-Too central square where three revolutions took place since 2005, National flag guards changing ceremony, Oak Trees Park, parliament and government houses, monuments related to Manas - the longest epic in the history (half a million rhyme lines), open air art gallery, the copy of the blue mosque in Istanbul named after imam Sarakhsi (the founder of Islam in Central Asia), the Victory square etc. After the walking tour immediately depart to Don Aryk-village for an authentic lunch at local Kyrgyz family. Shortly after the lunch we visit the UNESCO historical site – the former capital of Karakhanid state Balasagyn. There are the ruins of the palace, the local museum, the open-air museum of 2500 year old carvings and 1200 year old Turkic gravestones (balbals). But the most interesting spot at this site is the ancient 1000-year-old Burana tower which is the only object that remained in the course of times. Then we go to the Chong-Kemin valley to our guesthouse. Before the dinner we will have our exciting kok boru game (ulak-tartysh) show where two teams play with the body of the beheaded goat.

In the morning we head to the pearl of Central Asia – the Issyk-Kul lake, the second biggest alpine lake in the world. The lake is 180 km long and 60 km wide and up to 700 meters deep. On the way we stop in Kyzyl-Tuu village, which is famous for making authentic Kyrgyz yurts that are exported all over the world. At the local craftsman family we will learn how Kyrgyz people still make yurts based on the ancient technology of our ancestors and even have a chance to set up a real yurt on our own. Lunch is at the local craftsman family. The next destination is famous Skazka canyon with million-years old colorful formations that could remind many people of Brice canyon in the USA. After approximately 1 hour hiking in Skazka we drive back to our yurt camp on the shore of the Issyk-Kul lake. Upon arrival we will have some free time to have a swim in the lake or just to enjoy the scenic environment around the camp area. Right before the dinner we will enjoy the folklore concert with traditional sings and melodies accompanied by authentic Kyrgyz musical instruments.

After the breakfast we will go to see the carpet show in Bokonbaevo village. You will learn how Kyrgyz people in rural area still make felt carpets of two types: ala kiiz and shyrdak. Shortly after the carpet show we will come to the beautiful spot with superb view of the Teskey mountain range where we will have our exciting eagle hunting show. You will meet the real eagle hunter in his 3rd generation who goes hunting every week from September to February. You will learn everything about eagles, have a ton of unforgettable pictures with the eagle and the hunter, and watch the eagle hunting and training and finally even shoot from the bow. The road back to Bishkek will take about 4-5 hours and also we will have lunch on the way at one of local on the side of the read cafes. Farewell dinner at one of the local restaurants of the capital.
